Nothing says summer to me like bold prints and fresh fruit. Okay, well maybe weekend beach trips, my June birthday, and outdoor concerts. Regardless, I’ve definitely been digging the cheeky fruit print trend given my penchant for aggressive patterns and having fun with fashion.
A well-placed fruit print is flippant and carefree, exactly what we want to exude while rooftop brunching and touting green juices throughout the park all summer long. In my humble opinion, the best type of clothing is the kind that makes you happy, and who doesn’t crack a smile at the girl bold enough to wear bunches of bananas on her skirt?
Dare I say it, but it seems like fruit prints are replacing animal print this season. Are lemons the new leopard? Citrus and cherry patterns have been popping up everywhere from high-end runways like Moschino and Stella McCartney to accessible retailers such as ASOS and J. Crew.
