Today, it is cold. I am pale, tired, and stressed. I will go to work and sit in a cubicle without windows. I am over-worked, under-caffeinated, and lacking sleep. But, in a few short weeks, I will be in Cartagena, Colombia, frolicking in the seaside waves with my boyfriend, practicing my Spanish, and shopping for as many unique, fabulous trinkets (I’m thinking a Panama hat, printed summer pieces, and emeralds) as I can fit in my suitcase before boyfriend cuts me off from shopping and forces me to relax, stop, and smell the orchids.
That being said, I must have something to wear. I’m thinking the authentic Panama hat I’ll pick up shortly upon arrival will look great with some tribal prints for a boho chic look á la Sienna Miller. So, of course, we must begin with swimsuits—some bikinis I’d be happy to toss in my suitcase en route to the tropics.
And, you! You, my dear reader, I bet you need a vacation. So, if you haven’t booked one already, head to Shop Bop, buy your bikini, then, click on over to Jet Blue or Spirit Airlines and book that plane ticket, STAT. Feel free to thank me later ( I accept souvenirs).
Tomorrow, we’ll have more resort wear: cover-ups. Have you booked that plane ticket yet? Bring on the Piña Coladas, Bitches.
