Wrong on both fronts, Bitches. Black and white with a little edge is the latest trend sashaying down the runways and into the Bitches’ closets—and the object of today’s lusting.
Yes, monochrome wrapped-pieces are in style for Fall 2014, but it’s a trend that you can wear now and wear later. Monochrome is season-ambiguous, meaning you can wear it spring, summer, fall, or winter. This is perfect for the end of February, as we’re all in a terrible state of waiting, wishing, and praying for winter to come to a close.
The wrapped, folded angles I’m loving are appearing on mini skirts, pencil skirts, skorts, and shorts, as well as a romper and silk dress or two. The styles rouse just the right amount of Asian inspiration, but are wearable for a regular gal and not too trendy.
I’ll be adding a black-and-white jagged edge mini to my closet to wear with my suede Coye Nokes ankle booties and a white silk blouse on date night.
