The Lust List: Dressy Winter Workwear

Come winter, I tend to resort to all-black ensembles with texture, gold jewelry, and accessories. Or, a few deep, rich shades like burgundy and hunter green. An ensemble that’s head-to-toe in one shade elevates the look and thins your figure, which we could all use around the holidays.

Cashmere Crew Neck Sweater | Burgundy Pencil Skirt, Nordstrom (Similar here)| Burgundy Suede Heels (similar here, herehere) | Gigi New York Madison Crossbody

While I tend to live in athleisure, I’ll throw on a poised pencil skirt for an elevated look at a client meeting or after-work cocktail event. Sometime, it’s just good to feel like a professional lady. I love this burgundy lace pencil skirt from Nordstrom, with a simple Merino or cashmere black sweater.

You can’t go wrong with sleek, pointed suede pumps—they will quite literally never go out of style.

Earrings by Kendra Scott | Blowout by PRIV

I have a jewelry box full of tassel earrings, as I need a big earring for anyone to even be able to see them, given my mane of hair. You can’t go wrong with Kendra Scott and Bauble Bar for festive holiday earrings. (Some of my favorite pairs are here, here, and here.)

I’ve been turning to PRIV, a new on-demand app that lets you book hair, nails, makeup, pedicure and even massage treatments at home. I’ve definitely called PRIV for an emergency massage when I have neck pain from stress and also when I’m too tired to do my hair. PRIV was a lifesaver around holiday party season—I booked a 5 p.m. Friday blowout before a holiday party when I realized I hadn’t washed my hair in days (the perils of working from home).
