The Lust List: Color Me Olive

Let’s go extra virgin this fall. And I’m not suggesting abstaining, people. No, I’m talking about olive: The color for fall. It was spattered all over the Fall 2010 runway shows and is highlighted as a top fall trend in fashion mags. Here’s how to wear it without looking like you’re leaving an Army barrack.

I suggest diving into the color with a silky olive blouse, which is both sexy and demure, and goes with everything.

For work, tuck the blouse into a pencil skirt or a belted pair of slacks – black, navy, khaki, or brown tweed will work.

For the weekend, pair the blouse with jeans, jean shorts, khaki shorts, and a pair of sandals, ballet flats, or oxfords.

For a night out, the blouse will also look great with a black, gold, or bronze mini, preferably sequined. Accessorize with long gold or bronze layered necklaces, or bangles.

Don’t be so surprised … Your new olive piece will go with most skin tones and is flattering. Here are some top picks …
