The Lust List: Blazed & Confused

Of all the colors I wear, black is my favorite. While I know that black is in fact not a color (it’s the absence of color), it’s still such a versatile shade that I simply can’t do without it. With November rearing it’s head this week, and winter coming soon, I finally get to fully embrace my favorite color again, and break out my blazers and jeans.

Being tall, I have always struggled with finding jeans, blazers, and tops that are long enough. Thankfully, long blazers are in style this season, and I have been scooping them up left and right. I have a variety of blazers from Zara, so when I found this one when I was shopping, I snagged my size. To no surprise, I have worn this piece consistently this fall. Its length is what makes it so versatile!

Finding the perfect pair of jeans can be an absolute nightmare. With so many brands, cuts, and washes, it’s hard to narrow down which jeans work and which don’t. Well, I would like to introduce ZipFit. ZipFit is a company that effortlessly fits both men and women with their own perfect pair of jeans—no, really, I mean it. I had a chance to try the service and my wonderful Fit Expert, Courtney, helped narrow down my jean preference with just a few simple questions. Literally, the first pair I tried on was the one I walked out with—when has that happened in the history of jean buying, ever? These jeans are now what I live in.

Now that bodysuits are all the rage, I can shamelessly don this old favorite whenever it fits my outfit—basically, all the time. I have had this American Apparel bodysuit for about five years, and it’s easily one of the more versatile pieces of clothing in my closet. It’s on constant rotation in my closet, and is a must for anyone looking for a bodysuit for every season.

To polish off the look, I have tried the art of layering pieces of jewelry to offer a more dynamic look. Sure enough, this choker from Akira, and arrowhead necklace and earrings from Kendra Scott, work very well together. Paired with a black clutch and sassy lace-up flats, we have ourselves a very black, and chic ensemble.
