Autumn can be a fickle Bitch. Pumpkin spice lattes start popping up in August, but then we’re facing with steaming temperatures well into September. We’re finally well into October and it’s officially sweater weather for our NYC, DC and Chicago-based editors.

Well, light-weight sweater or pashmina weather at least. We’ve dusted off comfy flannels and neutral floppy hats for looks that are straight off the pumpkin patch. We’re holding out hope that we get another month or two of brisk fall breezes before we need to break out the puffy coats, so layering up with textured vests and blanket scarves in the meantime.

Although sneakers will always be a staple in the Bitch uniform, bring on the boots. Shout out to Modern Vice, handcrafted right in NYC, for supplying New York editor Ally with some killer statement booties to strut her way into fall, pictured below. They’re sturdy and comfortable, but stand out from a sea of basic brown ankle boots.

HBIC Cori Sue Morris can never get enough off the off-the-shoulder trend, so she’s digging blouses from ShopBop from innovative brands like Petersyn and MLM Label.

‘Tis the season for plaid shirts, and NYC Social Bitch Ann Louise is stocking her closet with options in every color palette. This neutral one from Uniqlo can be styled for both the office and a weekend getaway–plus the price tag is a steal!

Fall can be a tricky season in Chicago—cold in the morning, and hot in the evening. So, Chicago editor Allison tends to lean on dresses that allow for layers of sweaters and scarves, like this one from Madewell. Plus, who can resist buffalo plaid? Also from MadewellDC Social Bitch Annie loves a flirty take on plaid like this peplum shirt in buffalo check.

A leather jacket like this one by The Kooples is always a staple in NYC Baby Bitch Britteny’s fall wardrobe. Throw it on over a dress for a night out or keep it casual by layering it over a cozy sweater and jeans.

Chicago Social Bitch Amber is ditching the jacket and layering with this pink houndstooth blazer from J.Crew

A good camo jacket never goes out of style and if perfect for adding a little flare and personality to what might otherwise be a dull fall outfit made to solely keep you warm. Right now Chicago editor Alexis is digging this camo jacket from Romwe, and it’s less than $20 which makes anyone happy!

An oversized plaid scarf is a must during the cold weather months. ASOS has a great selection, but this oblong scarf is one of Ann Louise’s favorites. To accessorize any outfit, Allison’s go-to is a multi-colored scarf, like this plaid one from Barbour. It’s warm, colorful, and large enough to be a makeshift shawl—what more could you want?

Ankle booties are another item on heavy rotation in Britteny’s fall wardrobe. This black pair by Helmut Lang will go with just about anything and are the perfect height for busy girls who spend a lot of time on their feet. Similarly, Annie transitions her summer dresses to fall with the addition of a sweater and these brown Steve Madden peep toe booties.

DC Baby Bitch Tess loves these over-the-knee suede boots by Kate Spade. They’re perfect for that in-between weather when it’s not quite chilly enough for tights, but it’s too cold for bare legs.

Dark lip stains are everywhere this fall, but there’s nothing worse than products that dry out your pout. Bite Beauty’s lipsticks pack a punch of bold color, plus they’re moisturizing! The Maple – Brick Red is Ann Louise’s go-to lip color this season.

Fall means going darker in wardrobe and lip color. Annie is picking up this Nars velvet matte lip pencil for a dramatic look.

The drying winter winds wreak havoc on our skin, so getting ahead of the cold is the best way to combat it. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a fantastic option when it comes to ensuring our skin stays hydrated and glowing all winter long.

It’s officially fall, which means your skin could probably use a little TLC. Social Bitch Amber is banishing sun spots and brightening her face with this Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders kit. In that same vein, don’t forget to wear sunscreen even when skies get gray and gloomy. Try this tinted moisturizer by La Roche-Posay with SPF 50.

A new season means new nail polish colors, and Britteny loves updating her collection with darker shades like this greenish hue from Nailing Hollywood for the fall.

Pumpkin spice lattes are overrated, but pumpkin spice face masks are totally in! This pumpkin enzyme face mask from Peter Thomas Roth gently exfoliates while working in three ways: exfoliates with pumpkin enzyme, peels with alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), and polishes with aluminum oxide.
