Happy November, Bitches! We’re all ramping up for the holiday season, pumpkin pie consumption, and cooler temperatures. As the winter season comes marching closer, layering with turtlenecks, sweaters, and heavier jackets will be necessary if we’re to survive another Polar Vortex. But seriously, it’s a concern.

To help block the gusty breezes, layering is crucial. Starting with the basics, we recommend a base layer like a long sleeve turtleneck, and then opting for a poncho and leather leggings to make the look more edgy and modern. Who says you can’t be chic at sub-zero temperatures?

Turtlenecks are NYC editor Ally’s go to during this time of year and she loves the unique spin of this heather gray sleeveless top from Madewell. It’s perfect for layering and can easily transition from the office to happy hour.

For a casual-chic day time look, NYC Social Bitch Ann Louise is loving this grey patterned Piper dress from Anthropologie. Pair it with this sleek leather jacket from Banana Republic on your way out of the office for a more upscale vibe.

DC Social Bitch Annie is taking the gray to the office with this chic ponte asymmetrical dress from Banana Republic. Add tights and heels for day, and a leather jacket for drinks after.

When New York Baby Bitch, Reily thinks winter, she definitely thinks leather jackets. She absolutely loves this peplum-clad leather dream from ASOS.

Ponchos are one of Chicago editor Allison’s favorite pieces to have during the winter, like this one from Eileen Fischer. The cable knit detail adds texture and makes you want to cozy up and layer it over everything this season.

Uggs may be out forever but don’t discount the brand quite yet. Chicago Social Bitch Amber’s loving this chunky knit turtleneck poncho from Ugg Australia for cold weather brunch dates.

Winter is the perfect time to tone the color down and bring out your favorite neutrals (and sparkles). Reily loves gray accessories, especially this beautiful Coach bag.

A thick knit headwrap, like this version by Eugenia Kim,  is the ultimate mix of fashion and function. It will keep Ally’s tresses manageable and her ears toasty during long strolls in Central Park.

Ann Louise is planning on rocking these grey Adele Suede Ankle Boots from J. Crew ALL winter long!

Annie will be stomping around town in these ASOS leather ankle boots all winter long. They pair perfectly with black skinnies and skirts alike.

Leggings are always in, and with leather detailing like these suede leggings from La Fee Verte, they’ll add a sophisticated, edgy element to any outfit.

The cost per wear alone makes this J.Crew winter jacket well worth it. Amber loves the faux fur hood on this casual parka.

Darker skies, darker hues and darker hair means it’s the perfect time to flaunt those dark brows. Get that Cara Delevingne look with Clinique’s brow shaper.

Cold weather is drying so moisturizers are a must. We recommend Make Up Forever’s acclaimed Ultra HD foundation for flawless, silky skin.

This ultra-hydrating Bare Body Milk lotion from Julep saved Ann Louise’s skin last winter, so she’s ordering it in bulk for this year. Plus, it smells amazing!

Can’t get enough of the leather trend? Add it to your nails! 2B Colours has a special “leather effect” polish for anyone looking to push the boundaries of nail art.

Just because our Chicago editor Allison is often wearing gloves and mittens during the winter, it doesn’t mean she’s laxed on her mani. She loves this grey gold Dior polish for her nails especially since it’s long wear and a non-chip lacquer.

It’s smokey eye season and this Urban Decay eye-shadow in Mushroom is one of Amber’s favorite shades this season.
