We’re in complete denial that it’s already February, but we’re rolling with it. It’s that time of year when resolutions are abandoned, hibernation begins, and we lust after tropical vacations to get us through the dreary winter doldrums.

With this funky weather, one day we’re ducking sun showers one day and the next are digging out cars from the curbside. But just because the weather may be unpredictable, we’re still outfitting ourselves with punchy accessories to brighten the season. We love a good theme so this month we’ve focused on adorable Valentine’s themed goodies. Stay tuned for our Valentine’s date guides coming soon to New York, Chicago, and D.C!

Apparel

Everyone deserves fancy V-Day knickers. Which is why you should go ahead and buy yourself this slip from Agent Provocateur, so you feel fabulous all the way down to your undergarments. Speaking of undies, sometimes a gal’s favorite part of her outfit is what she’s wearing underneath, and there is no exception for Chicago Editor Alexis. This vintage inspired-heart and polka dot bralette with matching bottoms is so comfy and cute, even with the simplest outfit you will be feeling giddy about what’s underneath!

HBIC Cori Sue loves a flirty, fun dress—so she’s lusting after this bias-cut, ruffle red dress from Alexis. Midi dresses with a flare hem are in for spring—she’s loving these selects from Jason Wu and Cinq a Sept. They’re perfect for a Valentine’s Day out on the town.

Once the temperatures start to drop, NYC Baby Bitch Britteny lives in cozy sweaters like this one by Cashmere Boutique. This super-soft boyfriend sweater will pair perfectly with leggings on a lazy day or jeans for a casual weekend look. Chicago Social Bitch Amber loves this flirty sweater from J.Crew. It’s subtle and casual, but embroidered with a cute smooch for Valentine’s Day.

It’s hard to be stylish, let alone sexy, when you’re buried under four layers of clothing. That’s why we’re loving cold shoulder sweaters like this one. It’s a winter closet staple that you can sport without freezing your tush off!

“Wow” your dinner dates with this red bell-sleeve J. Crew frock. Whoever your date may be–a significant other or your gals–this dress is sure to be a winner. Also by J. Crew, it’s almost pastel season so Amber’s getting a head start by layering this Italian wool blazer in Vivid Lilac.

Trumpet cuffs and ruffles? Count us in! This ruby red Topshop top is easy to dress up or down, no matter the occasion.

Accessories

D.C. editor Steph loves a functional and fashionable accessory, like this adorable red heart umbrella (pictured above), which makes running around on a rainy day more bearable.

NYC editor Emily can’t say no to fun statement earrings to dress up her dark winter attire, especially when they match the theme of February; Valentine’s Day red! How cute are these BaubleBar Pinata tassels?

We’re big fans of a solid city backpack to take us from day jobs to dinner dates, especially this pink dust faux leather bag from Phase 3.

Scarves are another winter wardrobe must-have for Britteny, and and this one by Alternative Apparel is a great buy because it’s lightweight enough to wear well into spring.

These Circus by Sam Edelmen sneakers bring some serious sass to any outfit. Our favorites are the “Kiss Me” and “Rosé All Day” pairs.

D.C Baby Bitch Tess is loving this cute Kate Spade watch with just the right amount of pink. You don’t want to be late for your date!

Every girl loves a little bling, and these beautiful red and pink drop earrings from Anthropologie are exactly what you need to glitz up your Valentine’s Day outfit. We are seeing hearts naturally this February, and taking full advantage of Valentine’s Day with these cute Rebecca Minkoff heart-shaped threader earrings. Perfect for any occasion, these will certainly add a little bit of love to any outfit this month.

Beauty

A red lip is an easy way to dress up any look, and this Yves Rocher lipstick is long-lasting, so you don’t have to worry about reapplying throughout the night.

Red lips are classic for the holiday of love, but we also love rocking a bold pink. Whether you have a date this V-day or are embracing the single life, channel your inner Ariana with the songstress’ bold and bright hot pink lip color in part of her exclusive collection with Mac Cosmetics.

Nothing puts you in a romantic mood quite like the right warm and spicy scent. D.C Social Bitch Annie recommends La Vie Est Belle from Lancome for a flirty February. For a more masculine musk, check out Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford

Keep yourself smelling lovely this Cupid’s Day. Go with a classic, like this Chanel Number 5.

To make sure her red lipstick doesn’t overpower her other makeup, Allison likes to incorporate more blush into her makeup routine. This Clarins skin illusion blush offers just enough pigment without being overbearing.

  1. Love the umbrella, grey cashmere sweater, red lipstick. But the rouge is too red. The lips should overpower the cheek so not to look like a clown. The pink back back is too small and not leather. In Chicago, we need a large leather tote. Chanel No. 5 is the only perfume I own~love it!!
