The Bitches Guide to Winter Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week in New York City lasts far more than a week and gives diners all over the five boroughs the opportunity to taste some of the city’s most sought after cuisine at a fraction of the price.

Twice a year, restaurants transform their menus into pre-fixe selections for lunch ($29), dinner ($42), and now even brunch ($29). Over 380 restaurants are participating this winter from January 22nd to February 9th. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite picks below.

Left Bank
Serving Restaurant Week deals during Monday through Friday dinner, Sunday brunch, lunch and dinner.

Dinner highlights include the shaved brussels sprouts and chicken liver bruschetta, potato gnocchi with spicy broccoli and the famous, Left Bank split roast chicken.

Brunch is a close second, featuring a beverage option (mimosa, bloody mary, coffee or sangria – to start the day!), a first course of the sunchoke soup or steel cut oats and mains such as brioche french toast, babushka’s cheese omelet and a delightful tuna nicoise.

Loring Place

Three course menu featuring options like salmon crudo, roasted beets, a veggie burger, and Chef Dan Kluger’s take on a Hostess Cupcake with orange creme fraiche and tangerine sherbet.

Hearth
Serving Restaurant Week deals during dinner every day except Saturday.

Menu featuring options like winter squash and lentil soup, roasted cod, grass-fed beef and ricotta meatballs, and something called Stella’s pudding that sounds divine with mascarpone, sourdough croutons, and cocoa nibs. Optional wine pairing for $24.

Legasea

Legasea, the newest TAO group edition, features an elevated seafood menu in a lively atmosphere. Menu highlights include miniature lobster rolls and spicy crab beignets.

Brunch highlights include pastrami cured salmon, California poached egg bowl, roasted cauliflower frittata, and vanilla bread pudding.

The dinner menu features classics like burrata, slow roasted pork, and seafood stew.

Rye Pancakes

Pig and Khao

The three course brunch is unique to say the least with choices like grilled pork jowl, longonissa, and sizzing sissig.

Dinner standouts include baby back ribs and cod served in a banana leaf.

The National

The National’s timeless bistro menu includes items like Caesar salad, red wine braised short ribs, grilled branzino, and New York cheesecake.

Chef Richard Sandoval is at it again, this time right around the corner from Grand Central. Zengo’s Latin Asian fusion cuisine features dishes like thai chicken empanadas and lemongrass adobo chicken.

David Burke Kitchen

Lunch highlights include roasted beets, lamb meatballs, and steak frites.

We also can’t wait to try their grilled skuna bay salmon and meyer lemon pound cake for dinner.

Couldn’t forget brunch. Notable dishes include the sagamore rye and maple-roasted pear skillet cake and bialy egg sandwich.
