Wow, I wish I had known sooner that Taste of the South was this weekend. It sounds like a blast– a gala filled with deliciously terrible-for-you Southern food and well-dressed Southern belles and their beaus? What a treat.
Founded in 1982 “to bring Southern hospitality to Washington,” the gala raises money for charities in need– this year it’s Camp Sunshine and Coaching for College. Judging from a quick Google search of the event– people seem to have a lot of fun. Tickets ($98) are still available online. The event takes place at the DC Armory at 8 p.m. on Saturday night.
