There is so much to love about Italy— the fashion, the culture, the food, and of course, the wine. We just love it all! We recently discovered something more to love about Italy: the brunch. This is thanks in large part to a recent fantastic brunch at Osteria La Madia.
Osteria La Madia is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of River North. It has upscale yet contemporary food, and everything on there menu sounds (and tastes!) delicious and sexy. When brunching there, we are in favor of getting a little fancy. Merely because there’s something so chic about sipping a bellini in four-inch heels. So as if you were in the heart of Tuscany, we suggest statement pieces; sexy boots, wide-brimmed hats, flowy dresses, capes— something va-va-voom a la Jane Birkin.
While you don’t have to dress up, we strongly encourage it. The restaurant is beautiful—with contemporary decor, large wooden tables, architectural lighting, and inviting, open spaces. The presentation of the food is even prettier. So, we say, show some respect, and show up in a great ensemble. Then, spend your brunch sipping Italian cava as you admire those new booties you had been dying to wear. Check out our review of the restaurant here.
On our particular outing, there was snow on the ground, so we opted for over-the-knee boots, paired with tights, wool shorts, and a cable knit sweater. We stayed warm in a knee-length cape and a cute beanie, and added a little flare with a statement cocktail ring.
