While the District was turning white with snow, we were seeing green as we ventured off to Spotluck’s H Street Launch Party. We headed to Smith Commons with hundreds of our fellow Spotluckers to celebrate the neighborhood’s launch on the app.
If you haven’t downloaded Spotluck yet, it’s a cool new app that helps you solve the dining dilemma amongst your best Bitches while saving you money. The app helps you discover quality local eats and save at nearly 300 restaurants across 21 DC area neighborhoods.
Spotluckers were treated to complimentary beer from Atlas Brew Works to celebrate local. Atlas also released its brand new Pumpernickel Stout, which was taste tested and Bitch approved at the launch party. We also spun their wheel of fortune for a chance to win a ton of prizes from gift cards to Spotluck swag! The Bitches even snagged some Spotluck swag to stay warm in this icy weather.
Next time you’re on H street, spin the Spotluck wheel on your phone to try a few of our favorite spots, including DC Harvest, Le Grenier and Granville Moore’s. For background on the app, read our recent interview with Spotluck founders Brad Sayler and Cherian Thomas.
Didn’t get a chance to drop by? Don’t worry about it. We’ll be co-hosting a spring party focused on all things food and local this spring with Spotluck and DCfoodporn. Check out some pictures from last night and stay tuned for details.
