Recap: SculptDC Glow & Flow Brunch

You might have noticed by our active #FitBitches content, but we Bitches love to work out before downing multiple mimosas at brunch. We call it balance, ladies.

For me, I committed to practicing yoga once a week in the interest of balance, i.e. stress reduction and mental sanity. I’ve been enjoying Sculpt DC’s 1-hour midday classes, which are a great break from long workdays for this gal. And, the other D.C. Bitches have been enjoying the lively spin classes at D.C.’s only yoga-and-spin studio.

Last Saturday, we partnered with Sculpt, which is owned by a lovely woman, Madhuri, to host a Glow & Flow yoga brunch. The morning began with a  glow-in-the-dark flow yoga class, complete with neon body paint, followed by brunch. We brought in brunch goodies from other women-led brands: Sakara, JRINK, and Olivia Macaron.

Sakara is an organic meal delivery program that offers all-natural, gluten-free, and vegan meals, absolutely loaded with veggies. The belief of the brand is that beauty emanates from the inside out. Their comprehensive daily meal plans begin with rose beauty water, healthy fruit-packed breakfasts, and large salads, soups, and unique veggie offerings, like soba noodle salad or quinoa burgers. The week that I tried the meal plans I ate more vegetables (and more types of vegetables) than I ever have in my life.

For our Glow & Flow brunch, we served up a Sakara granola bar, allowing guests to help themselves two one of their three types of gluten-free granolas: almond coconut, pecan matcha, and or chocolate, served with almond milk.

The ladies from JRINK, which has a pop-up shop at Sculpt, provided mini bottles of their “Clean Me Up” juice, made with apple, lemon, ginger, and tumeric.

Naturally, I picked up some macarons from Olivia Macaron, because I’m obsessed. They launched a new matcha green tea latte flavor for spring—and it must be healthy, because it’s made with green tea!

Of course, it isn’t a Bitches Who Brunch event without a mimosa and Bellini bar—like we said, it’s all about balance.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Glow & Flow. If you’d like to try out Sculpt’s yoga-and-spin offerings, they offer a great unlimited special: 30 days of unlimited yoga for $70. You can’t beat that, Bitches.
