If you frequent Wicker Park, then you need to know about the new kid on the block: Rhyme or Reason.
Rhyme or Reason, a brand new restaurant and bar on the corner of Damen Avenue and Division Street, in the heart of the bustling Wicker Park neighborhood. It is an open, industrial space with high ceilings, a street facing floor to ceiling glass wall, and a variety of leather booths and high top tables—it has a cool, trendy feel to it.
Rhyme or Reason is hoping to elevate a guests’ dining experience from the typical night out, and offer live DJs, live music on certain nights, delicious dinner and cocktails, and even a late night menu for those who stay out in the wee hours of the morning.
I had the chance to preview the menu with a bunch of other bloggers last week, and Chef Chris de la Cueva did not disappoint. The highlights of the menu were the delicious pizza, flavorful and creative duck tacos, and to die for red velvet cake with a kick of cayenne pepper. It has a nice variety of American food on the menu, and certainly has something for everyone.
Rhyme or Reason is certainly a place to check out. Personally, I can’t wait for patio season, and I certainly hope Rhyme or Reason can take advantage of the sidewalk patio trend this spring.
