Maintaining my luscious locks and keeping my fingers and toes polished at all times can be taxing on a busy Bitch. Being-well groomed shouldn’t be another to-do, that’s why we head to the nailsaloon, a luxury mani-pedi salon in the heart of Logan Circle to take care of all of our nail needs.
The gorgeous, tranquil space has become our retreat from our hectic daily schedules, where we gather on a weeknight night to clean up and catch up with our girlfriends. Guests truly receive the royal treatment with fresh scrubs, complimentary cocktails, and Wifi. My absolute favorite is the salon’s signature cocktail, the Cosmopolish. Cori Sue’s been known to post up in the pedi chair for three hours on a weeknight with the WiFi. She just forgets to leave.
The nailsaloon is owned by a pair of women entrepreneurs, Andrea and Claudia, who are from Brazil and Argentina, respectively. In addition to creating a safe and clean environment for nails, beverages, and quality time, the nailsaloon is founded on two other principles: toxin-free beauty and charitable giving—three percent of the daily profits go to a local women’s empowerment charity.
Last week, we hosted our quarterly #NailsandCocktails event, inviting some of our readers to come for just that: nails, cocktails, and great food. Guests joined us and sipped bubbly and brews from 3 Stars Brewing Company while getting polished. Healthy greens and snacks were provided by Glen’s Garden Market, including grilled chicken breast and skirt steak along with an assortment of salads including the kale, Brussels sprouts Caesar salad, and a roasted cauliflower & chickpea salad.
To indulge in all things fall, we used Fête, a super savvy party planning app, to host the soiree and invite our VIP Bitches, for a night of pampering with nails and cocktails. The stylish design and simple usability made my life much easier this time around! If you’re a busy Bitch like we are and aspire to be the an adept hostess, download Fête to skip the stress.
The super swag bags filled with a number of goodies including complimentary tickets to a play at Studio Theatre, a tote bag from the nailsaloon, along with a free ride and water bottle from Zengo Cycle to stay hydrated. That’s not all! Our best Bitches even received solid perfume from Handmade Habitat and festive koozies from 3 Stars Brewing Co. As an added bonus, our lovely ladies also received a trio set of organic lipbalms from Herban Lifestyle to tackle chapped lips for the upcoming winter.
We had such a great time—thanks to everyone who joined us. If you’re in need of a mani/pedi before heading out of town for the holidays, saddle up to the nailsaloon for a royal treatment befitting a queen.
Pedicures at the nail saloon are $48 and manicures are $32. Beverages—wine, champagne, cocktails, tea, and coffee—are complimentary.
