Summer is my favorite—isn’t it everyones? The hot weather, long days, summer travels, poolside reading and—the oysters and rosé, of course.
I don’t get to travel as much as I’d like—though I’ve still managed to sneak in a few long weekends. For those of us who can’t escape Washington, there’s always the Passport Program.
The Passport Program is a cocktail booklet that offers special deals at about 50 local bars. You can use the little black booklet to explore your city, collecting stamps at each bar you visit and enjoying a little friendly competition with your friends.
For $20, the Passport Program is a steal—then throw your Passport in your pocket or purse and pull it out when at a participating restaurant.
The Bitches have partnered with Passport to highlight some of our favorite bars and restaurants participating in Washington. First up, Rappahannock Oyster Bar, The Union Market oyster spot is offering two-for-one bubbly, regular or rosé. A few weeks ago, I saddled up to the bar with a couple girlfriends—we had to order a round each since there were three of us—to make it an even two glasses each. We all had Passports, so it wasn’t a problem.
We paired our rosé with oysters and caviar, received our nifty stamps, and headed off to enjoy the rest of the long summer night.
