The Lust List & A Giveaway: GiGi New York Clutch

I have this joke, that the smaller the person, the larger the bag—or luggage, in the case of jet-setting. Save for tall, lovely Becca, most of my friends are petite, yet all carry enormous handbags. When we travel on a girls getaway, we all over-pack, yet the most petite person in the room always undoubtedly arrives with the biggest bag. This is often me, or often my friend Steph.

In terms of handbags, I am a slave to the large it-bag, toting around a Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, or YSL bag that is startlingly heavy to anyone who picks it up. Like a well-prepared soccer mom, my handbag contains everything I’d need for the day: keys, iPhone, Blackberry, wallet, checkbook, business card case, chapstick, my signature pink lipstick, hand sanitizer, cell phone sanitizer wipes, Kiehls hand lotion, a mini-hairbrush, Band-Aids, Tide-to-go, and likely some lollipops. Seriously.

Lately, I’ve realized a lack of clutches and fun, small, girl-on-the-town handbags in my closet to mix-and-match for a night out, or merely to simplify and take the weight off (quite literally) when I leave the house.

GiGi New York, a line of leather clutches in fun prints and colors at affordable prices, solves this problem. GiGi’s over-sized Uber clutch is the perfect size for everything you’ll need to carry—cards, phone, lipstick and the like—and it’s stylish and chic. It can also double as an iPad case. It fits my regular iPad so it will also fit the mini and any e-readers you Kindle-a-holics may have.

The clutch comes in the top colors of the season: mint, coral, sunshine yellow, and a rich cobalt, as well as reliable mainstays like sand, black, and white.

The ladies over at GiGi mailed Becca a lovely yellow clutch and me a mint one. We’re giving away a third Uber clutch to a lucky lady in the color of her choice. Because, we lusted after ‘em, we got ‘em, and now it’s another Bitch’s turn.

To win, follow GiGi New York on Twitter @GiGiNYTweets, like GiGi New York on Facebook, and leave a comment below listing your favorite color in the Uber clutch and why.

Those of you who don’t win the clutch can still order online and get a special Bitches Who Brunch discount of 20% with the code “BRUNCH.” The clutches are normally priced at $125 a piece, and code is valid until April 15.

Happy accessorizing, you stylish Bitches.

  1. Love the Uber Clutch in Mint! Would look amazing with white jeans and neutral wedges (can you tell I’m dreaming of summer?)!

  2. I would choose Taupe. It’s a neutral that will go with pretty much everything, but different from traditional black. Great giveaway!

  3. I love the mint and cobalt colors, but I think cobalt is my favorite because I can use it throughout the year. Beautiful!

  4. The rich cobalt blue is fabulous! It’s the perfect pop of color to pair with your favorite LBD. I love the fact that it fits an ipad which lets you go from event to evening without lugging around a huge bag.

  25. So cute! I’m really liking the clutch in Coral, and Mint. My birthday is coming up, so this would be a fabulous way to help me ring in….*gulp* 30! Pretty colors! I follow on Twitter (roomofmyown) and like on Facebook (Amber H). Thanks!

  26. I’ve been debating back and forth since you posted this… I looove coral and it always plays heavily in my summer wardrobe and is a go to pop against black year round as it pairs well with my pale rose skin and blue eyes… but after much deliberation I think that I have to go with black as I could very much use it (please help! I need it!) day to day in my work in restaurant and event management and it would go with everything and hold everything I need for an event.

  27. Absolutely mint! I need something to offset a bright sangria or mimosa with brunch, and that will go well with my summer tan. It could last me into the winter, paired with a cream cashmere sweater, jeans, and crisp weather!

  28. I followed twitter and liked on Facebook! I would love the sand clutch because it is neutral/casual yet is still stylish enough to match anything I would want to wear. I could use it everyday to go to the office and out after hours to go out with the girls. I could use it all year long!
