While my pending fall wardrobe is slowly creeping into my thoughts, I am still full on in summer mode. The temperatures are hot and I want to embrace all that this good weather has to offer, and show off a little skin while I still can. I was on the hunt for a somewhat casual yet visually stunning dress that could show off my legs. I scored big time when I encountered a beautifully embroidered tunic dress from Madewell.
This dress though simple in it’s structure, had the beautiful pop of color that I was looking for. Detailed tribal print is stitched in the collar drawing attention to the neckline. The dress is made from soft cotton linen, perfect for hot summer evening, it is light and comfortable and allows for the breeze to pass through and keep you cool.
Additionally, the colors are right in alignment with the hades of fall. The dress paired perfectly with a pair of brown suede block heels from Steve Madden. The chunky suede heels and the hippe-esque tribal print give a 60’s vibe on this modern ensemble. I absolutely love the bright colors! There is every single color in the dress; red, orange, green, blue, purple, teal. It is the type of look that you can accessorize with something of the same color as one in the print. A light sweater and some cute boots will make this dress an easy transitional piece for autumn!
I had just received a gorgeous bucket bag from the wonderful people at GiGi New York. Made with a rich, light tan leather, the bag paired perfectly with the dress. I had it engraved with my initials in gold so it was just another detail to the outfit that I especially loved. Not to mention it paired well with my accessories. GiGi New York bag’s are literally the “it” bag.
Moderately priced, yet made so well, GiGi New York bags are the type of bag you have for a lifetime. I especially love my bucket bag. It came with a long strap, worn with this look, but also a short handle for carrying it around. The drawstring tassels on the front are another favorite element of mine about the bag. I am excited for it to be my fall staple purse. It is ideal for day to day use, or to pair perfectly well with an outfit like this
I kept my look light with some simple grey and gold House of Harlow sunburst earrings and a bangle from Kendra Scott to accompany my classic Michael Kors watch. The dress and it’s detailing really don’t need much to complete the look. I loved wearing this entire look to dinner and drinks (and eventually some dancing!) with my girlfriends! Also, minimal makeup needed thanks to my summer habit of getting my lashes done at Amazing Lash Studio, a new eyelash spot in Lincoln Park. They are incredible!
