Holiday Gift Guide: For the Men

The holidays are finally here. Malls are decorated, seasonal tunes are playing in most stores, and commercials are heavily preying on our holiday mindsets.

In between all of the work we’ll soon be committing to our own wish lists, we’ll have to find time for those special men in our lives. Men who dream about Rolexes and Quattroportes and wouldn’t bat an eye at a comfy sweater or an Anthro candle. Our bank accounts aren’t exactly conducive to 30K watches, which puts us gals in a tricky situation for every special occasion.

The Bitches have rounded up our favorite picks for the males in our lives to make your month a little easier. In the meantime, start encouraging your significant others to embrace hobbies that can lead to themed gifts. You and your partners can thank us later.

For the Coffee Aficionados

Living in a city with an established coffee culture means that you want a man who can join you on a rainy, cold Saturday, order a flat white, and be totally ok with that being your adventure of the morning. A coffee hobby doesn’t discriminate, can be nurtured in most cool cities internationally, and can flourish at home. Our picks:

Bonsai Coffee Box $65- This interactive coffee box from Bonsai includes everything you need to brew a crazy good pour over cup at home. Plus, thanks to a collaboration with Irving Farm Coffee Roasters, you get their Director of Education as your personal instructor. This gift gives your boyfriend (and yourself!) some fantastic coffee, along with a dripper, filters, and a cool stainless steel Yami kettle.

Blue Bottle’s Timbuk2 Travel Kit $179 – If your boyfriend loves coffee and travels frequently, this gift is perfect. Inlcuding a tumbler, a Bonmac dripper, filters, coffee beans, and a cool coffee travel case, this pack is perfect for the coffee obsessive who want to control what they drink in the morning, despite where they are.

Craft Coffee Monthly Subscription – Offering customizable subscription packages of craft coffee to your doorstep, this is a great option for expanding the coffee palate, giving your men more than one gift to look forward to.

For the Booze Hounds

There’s nothing sexier than a man who knows how to whip up a good cocktail. Bonus points for the man who also orders something other than beer on a bar date. These are all good reasons to expand your man’s alcohol game with our picks:

Plus, the bottle looks pretty damn cool. Available on on December 8.

Gentleman Jack Whiskey $65 – Gentleman Jack, a special whiskey for the esteemed members of “A Friend of the Order”, is the only whiskey in the world to be charcoal mellowed twice. You can engrave this with a special holiday love note to be displayed front and center in your man’s bar.

Death & Co Cocktail Book $18.99 – This craft cocktail book hails from one of the best bars in Manhattan and features hundreds of recipes for your guy to try at home. Plus, the photography is awesome and the book is filled with fun stories of characters who frequent the New York bar scene.

A fit boyfriend satisfies all involved parties. Plus, there’s an endless supply of exercise-oriented gifts for the athletes in your life. Our picks:

lululemon Running shorts $75 -We don’t just love lululemon for ourselves. Their menswear is also fitted just how we like it and breathes a lot better than some of the bulkier fitness brands. Your man will love these sweat-wicking shorts with a built in boxer-brief liner for all types of workouts.

Soundsport In-Ear Headphones $149 – Upgrade from the standard to these balanced audio headphones from Bose, designed for serious workouts.

We always love to spice up our suit-clad corporates..they spend five out of seven days dressed for work! Spruce up their wardrobes and make their work life less bland with our picks:

Leatherology cufflink holder $75 – Keep your man friend’s cufflinks organized so it’s no longer a significant effort to dig around the underwear drawer for a morning match. This sleek Leatherology organizer will make the morning process, it will look good on your dresser.

J. Crew Italian Silk-Wool tie $75 – like we said, our men are dressing for work the majority of their days. Why settle for the same boring suit combos when you have these fun skinny ties from J. For the Man’s Man

I tend to have an aversion to any standard guys present, likely from years of gifting the same shaving product brand to my dad for each Father’s Day and Christmas. These days, companies are really getting creative, making these gifts “cool” again. Our picks:
