The speakeasy below The Graham Georgetown will be open on Tuesday to help you soak up your hangover. They suggest that you wear your “hangover best,” whatever that means. All-Purpose Pizzeria Capitol Waterfront

Our favorite pizza joint in Navy Yard is hosting a bottomless brunch on New Year’s Day. Enjoy breakfast pies, brunch specialities and bottomless mimosas, Bellinis, and spritzes. And when you inevitably overeat, the location is perfect for a long walk along the riverfront after brunch.

Ambar

One of the DMV’s best bottomless deals is available on New Year’s Day. Ambar will offer its signature $34 brunch of unlimited small plates and free-flowing cocktails. Bring your whole crew for all-you-can-eat brunch of mezze, soups, salads, sandwiches, egg dishes, pastry, crepes and sweets. Plus, it’s just $0.25 for brunch drinks at the Clarendon location (but the Capitol Hill location is serving too!)

America Eats Tavern

The streets of Georgetown are likely to be quiet with all the shops closed, so it’s not a bad time to head to America Eats Tavern. The Jose Andres restaurant will offer its weekend brunch menu on New Year’s Day. We recommend the fried chicken and the fresh oysters, as well as the dynamite cocktails for a little hair of the dog.

Baba

If you’re ready to keep the party going well into the new year, head to Baba. The unlimited brunch experience includes a buffet and made-to-order dishes for just $29 per person, and includes dessert as well as unlimited coffee, tea, iced tea, and orange juice. A DJ will also be spinning tunes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and we know it’s always a good time.

If you’re an early riser on New Year’s Day, you can get breakfast or brunch at Blue Duck Tavern.  This swanky West End restaurant will offer its a la carte breakfast menu from 6:30 -10:30 a.m., followed by its a la carte brunch from 11:15 a.m.-2:30 p.m. This one is perfect for entertaining your parents or grandparents, or impressing a brunch date with your New Year’s resolutions.

If might be 2019 but you can go back to the ‘80s at Radiator’s “I Wanna Brunch with Somebody” brunch. The Kimpton Mason & Rook hotel restaurant will feature a 1980s playlist and brunch favorites including huevos rancheros, crab beignets, and ratatouille omelets. It’s a fun spot with games and outdoor firepits to gather around. We hear that the bar team will be launching new brunch cocktails to kick off the new year as well.

Toki Underground

This ramen hotspot isn’t typically known for brunch service, but 2019 is a new year, after all. Toki will be open for a Hangover Brunch with special menu items, including  cauliflower and chicken steamed bao buns, Japanese souffle pancakes, and a full dumpling selection. Japan-Irish coffees, Kimchi Marys, Man Mosa (Grand Marnier mimosa) and Toki’s regular cocktails will be available as well. Guests who purchase a ticket to Toki’s NYE Soiree will be able to make a reservation for the restaurant’s New Years Day Hangover brunch, which will only be open to walk-ins otherwise.

Urbana

Urbana is serving not one but FOUR days of brunch over the holidays, as it launches its new brunch menu. From Saturday, Dec.29 to Tuesday, Jan.1, everyone is invited to preview the new brunch creations including a breakfast calzone porchetta sandwich, and Italian brunch burger with Taleggio cheese and porcini mushrooms. For a boozy brunch, we especially love the bottomless Bellinis.
