Chicago Mothers Day Guide 2018

Mother’s Day is just around the corner—May 13, lest you forget— and finding the perfect way to celebrate the most special lady can be a challenge. We have looked high and low for some of the best brunch options available to honor the original HBICs—our mothers, aunts, and grandmothers. Because if there’s anyone who deserves a day on the town drinking mimosas, it’s the moms! We’ve rounded up activities, fancy spots, and delicious buffets to provide you with our top recommendations for this year’s Mother’s Day brunch in Chicago.

Acadia
Inspired by Chef Ryan McCaskeys childhood in Maine, Acadia brings the fresh flavors of the coast to Chicago. Acadia received it’s second Michelin star in 2015 and this Mother’s Day the restaurant is offering an amazing three course brunch menu. Chef McCaskey sources most of his ingredients from the Deer Isle area in Maine to ensure the most fresh and genuine experience. North Pond
Situated on the edge of the picturesque North Pond in the middle of Chicago’s Lincoln Park, sits North Pond. The menu is inspired by local markets and changes seasonally. This Mother’s Day North Pond will be celebrating all of the lovely ladies in your life with a special three-course pre-fixe menu from 10am – 5pm. The menu includes delicious savory items like the Mustard Wild Salmon and Artichoke Alaskan Halibut and sweet items like Lemon Chocolate Mousse and the Coconut Mango Cheesecake.The pre-fixe menu is $85 per adult and $40 for each child. The Albert
The Albert, located in Hotel EMC2’s, is celebrating all Mothers with a special brunch. The contemporary restaurant will be extending its brunch menu from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, and will be offering special treats to all Mothers. In addition to special treats, the brunch menu will offer specialty cocktails and featured menu items. The brunch menu includes items like Piri Piri Chicken Sandwich, made with pickles and aioli on brioche and Eggs Benedict Duck Confit, complete with béarnaise and sofrito. Shore Club
Shore Club, located on the shore of Lake Michigan, directly across from North Avenue Beach, is serving up a special Mother’s Day Brunch. This spot is the perfect place for moms in need of a beach getaway (even for just a day.) Brunchers can take in the views of Lake Michigan and the sweeping city as they enjoy the Mediterranean-inspired dishes and choose from an array of breakfast items off the all-you-can-eat menu including made-to-order omelets, crepes, salads, fruits and a selection of cheeses. A Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar will also be available for an additional $11. Stella Barra
Stella Barra in Lincoln Park is new to the brunch scene, but if their brunch menu is anything like their lunch and dinner menus, you’re sure to have a delicious meal. This Mother’s Day, Stella Barra is also welcoming all moms to try the new brunch buffet menu. The menu features roasted corn and poblano egg enchiladas, warm brioche cinnamon roll bread pudding, caramelized French toast, and more. The unlimited buffet menu is available for $21.95 per guest, and kids 10 and under can enjoy the buffet and special pancake bar for free. And don’t forget about beverages! Pete Miller’s Steak and Seafood
Tasty brunch doesn’t only happen in the city. Visit Pete Miller’s Steak and Seafood in Evanston and Naperville for a Mother’s Day brunch buffet! The full buffet will include prime rib & leg of lamb carvery, a chilled seafood cocktail bar, an omelet station, a waffle station, a delectable entree buffet, a breakfast pastry and dessert station and a Bloody Mary station. Bowling, foosball, cocktails and bottomless brunch, what more could the Mom who love to move it, want? Treat your Mom to an impressive brunch buffet this Mother’s Day! Punch Bowl Social will be featuring a buffet that includes omelet and taco stations, eggs, bacon, sausage, punch potatoes, assorted pastries. All Momma’s will have the option to sit back and relax or get up and have the chance to bowl a strike for a free meal! Geja Cafe
For the mom that’s typically always on the go, but wants to slow it down this Mother’s Day. we have the perfect brunch suggestion. Geja’s Cafe, home to delicious fondue, in Lincoln Park returns with their Mother’s Day special again this year. Treating all mothers to a complimentary 5-minute massage and a glass of bubbly when they come in and enjoy brunch. All moms will be invited to step away from the table to receive a relaxing chair massage, courtesy of a licensed massage therapist from Massage House, in Lincoln Park.
