Barracks Row has turned into a dining destination as of late thanks to hot restaurants from celebrity chefs. However, we find ourselves coming back time and again to our go-to Capitol Hill spot Lavanga. Whether we’re looking for traditional brunch fare or classic Italian recipes with a twist, this is the place for us.
Thanks to our “regulars” status, Lavagna was kind enough to make us a custom Bitch cocktail, “The B.C.S.”, for our 5th birthday. Although we would never turn down a traditional mimosa, this twist on a prosecco cocktail made with a spiced strawberry syrup and a fresh hint of rosemary hit the spot. We’ll be ordering it at all of our Lavagna brunches and maybe even with pasta at dinner because, hey, it’s our birthday.
– 1 quart Strawberries ~ 3 pints
– 1/2 Qt of Sugar
– 1 quart Water
– 3 Limes Zested
– 12 Sprigs of rosemary
