Bitches Who Brunch turns five this month! It’s been an incredible journey bringing the Bitching to Washington, D.C., New York, and Chicago. Thanks for reading and sharing along the way.
To join us in the toast to five years, chefs and mixologists are putting special “Bitch” cocktails on their brunch menus all this month! Over the next two weeks, we’ll give you the recipes behind the Bitch Birthday cocktails and profile the men and women behind them.
We’re also giving away an unbelievable birthday gift—a bundle of amazing goodies and gift cards from our partners, plus we’ll take you to a personal brunch with the Bitches! To enter, simply tweet, Instagram or Facebook your Bitchy Birthday message, tagging us and using the hashtag #BitchesTurns5. We’ll select a winner Friday, April 17.
With one Indiana University graduate in our ranks, we’re no stranger to Durden, the quirky Fight Club-themed bar and de facto Hoosier watch bar in the East Village. We recently previewed the brand new Nawlinz menu, which as you can probably guess is New Orleans-style and authentically cooked by a NOLA native. The brunch menu, featuring breakfast po’boy sandwiches and bourbon bread pudding, will debut in mid-April; review coming soon.
Our friends at Durden crafted the Jealous Bitch as a twist on the classic mimosa, this Bitch is green with envy. Durden must have had green on the mind as it channeled some inner Dr. Seuss for our birthday message. Green eggs n’ ham not included.
They said, “Happy Birthday to the Bitches Who Brunch, who Bitch in between breakfast and lunch. There’s never been a better brunch Bitch before, now that you’re five, may you brunch Bitch evermore.”
Thanks Durden! Don’t forget to check our their new brunch menu in mid-April. Once we finally get some sunshine, you can dine outdoors and enjoy $5 mimosas.
